What is a National Mirror Committee (NMC)?

National Mirror Committee (NMC) is a committee established to mirror the structure of an international policy/technical committee, with the role of determining national stand. The NMC can be either a TC or WG. Each NMC shall choose to be a participating member (P-member) or and observing member (O-member) to the respective international committee.

P-member shall participate actively in the standardisation work with the obligation to vote on all ballots and identify experts to contribute to the committee in developing International Standards. O-member on the other hand, may follow the development of International Standards and have the right to participate actively but are not obliged to. 

SDA@IKM manages 19 NMCs which are the P-member to 9 international committees and O-member to other 17 international committees.
